The Mammoth Auction and Sale is a major fundraiser that helps sustain the Bonsai Garden at Lake Merritt, supporting the year-round care of the garden and its treasured bonsai and suiseki collections.

How to Participate

Individuals may contribute in two ways:

• Donations — donors may designate 10% to 100% of the sale price to benefit the garden.
• Consignments — the garden receives a 25% commission on all consigned items sold.

Both methods help sustain the garden’s mission and preserve its living collections for all to enjoy.

Auction Item Requirements

All auction submissions must be quality items, including:

• Bonsai Trees
• Ceramic Pots
• Wooden Display Stands
• Additional bonsai-related materials and accessories

Quality standards ensure bidders and buyers experience the important level of craftsmanship and horticultural excellence the Mammoth Auction & Sale is known for.
