The Naming Gallery brings a bit of whimsy to the Secret Garden Naming Gallery is pleased to present Sludgepony’s Secret Garden for one afternoon only in the magical Bonsai Garden at Lake Merritt. The show will take place on Saturday, June 3, from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM.

Charlotte Hacker-Mullen, aka Sludgepony, gives new life to discarded and overlooked items with hand painted patterns, cartoony faces and vibrant colors. Over 60 of Sludgepony’s pieces will be arranged throughout the garden for this family-friendly installation.

A portion of the proceeds from artwork sales will be donated to the Bonsai Garden’s GRO program to revitalize the display area. Sludgepony’s Secret Garden will bring people together for a Spring afternoon to reimagine the beauty and potential of everyday life in Oakland.

We welcome the Naming Gallery and artists like Charlotte to bring a bit of artistic creativity to blend with the living art of the Bonsai Garden. It will be a fun experience for the entire community and raise money for a good cause.
